 I’m Teacher Lisa, a 35+ year teaching veteran from the USA. Michigan, the land of The Great Lakes, has been my lifelong home. My husband and I have 4 adult children. I enjoy reading, movies, music, language study, literature, yoga, and travel. My travels have taken me to three continents.

My Story

 As a certified teacher with 35+ years of experience teaching American students, I am ready to help your child gain English fluency! I am a certified teacher employed in a Michigan school district. I have a Master’s degree in English Language Learning. I have taught many children to read and write. I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language online for 8 years. Twice, I have traveled overseas as a volunteer English teacher.

Teaching over 8000 online English classes and nearly 800 Chinese students has given me an accurate idea of what ESL students need to learn. My private one-on-one lessons include consistent error correction and a focus on correct pronunciation, along with generous amounts of conversational practice and student output.
